CSKA Dundee are a Scottish football club, based in Dundee. They were founded in season 2 and are currently playing in the top level of Scottish football.
History[]
Season 2[]
CSKA Dundee formed midway through the season. There was a major squad transformation, and many players were brought in on free transfers. The newly formed club coasted to the First Division.02 title. At the end of the season they held a ten point lead over closest challengers The Jaded Wolves, and finished with a goal difference of 47.
Season 3[]
Season 3 was the most barren in the club's history. Despite gaining promotion to the SPL, the club's manager left his post after a disagreement with the club's ownership. As such, they only just avoided relegation, by courtesy of being the best of the four inactive teams in the Premier League.
Season 4[]
This season began as the previous one left off, the managerless club garnering just one win from their first 14 matches, scoring only twice. With the club in such dire straits mom2pp returned to the helm. He drew his first game, before winning the next five to pull CSKA Dundee out of the relegation zone. CSKA eventually finished the season seven points clear of Outer Hebrides and the relegation zone.
Season 5[]
The best season in the club's history so far, CSKA Dundee were never threatened with the relegation battle of the last two seasons. CSKA finished in 7th place, their highest ever league position. In fact, CSKA only missed out on a top half finish on the final day as they lost and Hyndland and Whiteinch F.C. won, pipping them to 6th place by one point.
Season 6[]
Season 6 was a disastrous season for CSKA Dundee. They finished well off the pace at the bottom of the SPL, nearest contenders The Jaded Wolves had twice as many points, and failed to register a single win. They also flirted with disaster financially and they spent the last couple of weeks in the red. The only plus point of the campaign was their progress to the 5th round of the Scottish Cup, their best ever performance in this competition.
